Negative
I heard from my nurse. My beta was negative. She said that my RE and the embryologist are going to go over all the information on us and she'll give me a call later in the week to schedule an appointment to meet with the RE and go over things. I guess I am really not shocked by this given the state of our embryos and the fact that they were willing to put back 3. The plan we bought was for 2 cycles, but I am not starting another cycle until I have more testing done. The RE told me before this cycle that he didn't think that immune testing and such told them a lot and even when it did rarely was there anything they could do or did it change their protocol. I trust my doctor, but I don't think that was a good answer. I have been reading a lot of blogs since then and I know of at least 2 bloggers who have had immune testing done, made medicine/lifestyle changes because of it, and gotten pregnant. So, don't tell me it doesn't make a difference. I am glad that I took today off.

ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the immune testing. I think a second opinion is a great idea.
Hi! So sorry about the negative! I'm just starting the IVF process, currently on Lupron. I'm going to be your newest follower, I want to know what they find with the testing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting!
I'm so sorry. I'll be praying for comfort. ((Hugs))
ReplyDelete*hugs* I am sorry it was negative. I hope that you are able to get the testing and you learn something new from it.
ReplyDeleteI am so so sorry. I'm definitely with you on the immune testing. I think the more you can rule out and know the better.
ReplyDeleteAwww man Im so sorry:( and I will attest def dont listen to the Dr. telling you that immune issues done exist and there isnt a way to tx them...thats a bunch of bull...It took me 4 years to become pregnant and then once I did I lost four babies within a year...and the final culprit was my immune system and I have received intense immune tx as just the basic wouldnt do....been there tried that all so def makes a differance....If you like to read....read Dr. Alan Beers book....Is Your Body Baby Friendly...best immune book out there:)
ReplyDeleteWell my friend knowledge is power so arm yourself...and also take care!!!!
I am so sorry :( I will keep you in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to read your recent news. i echo the others in saying trust your gut and do whatever testing you feel is necessary. I had 2 miscarriages and 1 BFN (all IVF cycles) and my RE insisted there was nothing abormal. We did autoimmune testing, kayotyping, etc. and found my husband had a chromosome issue. I really do believe in trusting your gut feel for things. Good luck! Hang in there!
